Join us this Sunday (8 January 2017), at De Waal Park for the second free summer concert, brought to you by Concerts in the Park and RSAWEB. Summer just got hotter!

Kahn Morbee – K A H N

After 12 years with South African Rock/Pop band The Parlotones, Kahn Morbee has enbraced a solo career performing as K A H N. More recently Kahn was one of the coaches on THE VOICE South Africa, and became the first winning coach.

 

He is currently working on his next full length studio album alongside legendary producer Theo Crous. The working title is Noise in the Void and is earmarked for release this year. With a compelling stage personality and a reputation for enthralling audiences, his performance promises to transport you with his vivid lyrics.

 

The Rudimentals

This Reggae, dancehall, dub and fusion band are local Cape Town favourites.

 

This socially diverse, fun-filled act strives to interact with people of all ages and tastes. Their multi-layered musical offering is made up of eight highly accomplished, talented and entertaining musicians, representing a blend of youth and experience.

 

The band’s legendary status has been earned over 15 years in the local music industry. They continue to perform at all top South African events and festivals and have a loyal following and a reputation for fantastic live performances.

 

Sonik Citizen

Sonik Citizen is a lyrical soul-rock trio fresh on the music scene, formed by multi-award winning artist, Mark Fransman. They are a ‘soul-blues’ inspired band, with a strong groove and dynamic live show. Holding down the groove is bass player, Gino Ackerman and drummer, Paul Tizzard.

 

Fransman leads from the front with his unique soul-blues inspired voice, incredible guitar skills and all-round musicianship.
