Concerts in the Park gets grooving with superstars Freshlyground and The Rudimentals on Sunday 18 March. Join in the fun and feel good with us at De Waal Park, it’s free!
We’re proud to bring you a free performance by the world-renowned Freshlyground. The proudly African band formed in Cape Town in 2002 and have soared to great heights since then. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to catch the amazing band live this Sunday. You can look forward to the sultry vocals of Zolani as they perform all their hits like Doo be Doo, I’d Like and of course Waka Waka. The Rudimentals are the opening act, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes, you probably won’t be sitting!
In case you missed it.
The last edition of Concerts in the Park, had a diverse lineup that drew an even more diverse crowd.
The Gugulethu Tenors kicked things off and filled the park with their strong powerful voices, much to the delight of picnickers. Mr Cat and the Jackal got the crowd all pumped up for the high energy of Fokofpolisiekar that followed them.
As usual, our Super Heroes were all over the park, in full force, snapping pics with the crowd and handing out freebies and generally having a ball. Our social media feeds were filled with tags as people posted their experience in a bid to get Free Fast Fibre Internet, below are a few of the posts from the day.
This Sunday, 18 March we are getting groovy at the second last Concerts in the Park with Freshlyground and The Rudimentals, so don’t miss out! Check it out on Facebook and share it with your friends! Summer is almost gone but we’re still feeling good.
